Food Trucks: The Meals on Wheels

Goba, what is the first thing that comes to mind? A summer day spent exploring the city, a feeling of awe as you wonder the festival grounds, or a warm sensation when you bite into a gooey brownie, fresh out of the pocket of a middle aged man. We wanted to convey a combination of those feelings when creating Goba and its menu. This project was fun. The idea of creating a hypothetical food truck and designing its menu allowed individuals to explore their creative side. Even though there were many interesting suggestions, my group went with Goba because I said so. No, in all seriousness we thought it was a concept that needed to be probed and explored. The idea of Goba was not present in San Francisco or in food trucks in general, in which Japanese street food on a truck seemed to be unheard of. This project was rather visually appealing because Sam did a majority of the designs. If I had done them, they would have looked like a visual representation of the word grotesque.
